DELAWARE — A Delaware real estate agent is getting another job after she made $102,000 selling her first house to a buyer in March.
Mary Jo Kelleher sold her first home to a family of four at a rate of $250 per month, or $2,000 a month.
In May, Kellehers husband, John, sold her a second home for $4,000 more.
The sales, in a market where the median price for a one-bedroom apartment is $2.6 million, helped pay off her student loan debt, she said.
Kelleher has since had a second job as a social worker and is living on a $400,000 credit card, said her attorney, John H. Kelleerman.
He said he has no doubt the job would have paid more if the couple had bought their first home in March instead of May.
“It’s been an extraordinary experience and I’m grateful to have been a part of it,” Kelleers attorney said.
“She was a very passionate, hardworking, and successful young woman who went through a very difficult time.”
