The New Jersey Times will debut on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019, and the company will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Times Group Inc. The new headquarters will be in Times Square.
The company said it plans to add 2,000 new full-time jobs.
The news comes after the New Jersey newspaper’s chief executive officer, William O. DiMartino, announced plans to expand its print edition and increase its digital offerings.
He said the company would expand its website and digital offerings in 2019.
The Times will also expand its presence in Asia.
